Situated in the south of England, the New Forest has a mosaic of habitats including lowland wet and dry heaths, mires and bogs, and majestic ponies and horses that make the landscape look like an enchanted wonderland. Because of this, I just knew it would be a stunning backdrop for a lookbook for my boho headbands where I wanted to embody the spirit of the area I loved so very much.
The actual spot I have based myself at is moments away from Brockenhurst train station. It has my favourite elements of everything I love so much about this spot. If you simply turn right out of Brockenhurst train station and then turn right to the turning for Sway you will enter this perfect spot that is wonderful for exploring on foot, or for a whimsical photoshoot of your own! Within a 5 minute drive you really are in the heart of the New Forest.
The inspiration for the styling of the shoot came from a variety of resources. I really wanted a whimsical, Bohemian wonderland inspired by my love for magazines such as Disfunkshion and also images I've adored from my Festival Fashion board on Pinterest.
I also had the joy of using the prettiest jewels to accompany the look for this shoot with necklaces from my beautiful friend Jessica who makes stunning crystal necklaces at Roses and Whiskey and bracelets from Crystal Cactus.
And for the beauties both in front of the lens I'm so thankful for my beautiful model Charlotte from Model Students and photography by Lydia Victoria. And I can't wait to show you all the new turban headbands soon!
