My heart has done a flutter many a time when I have received photos of you all making your own enchanting Flower Crowns that range in colour and aesthetic to suit your own flower power tastes. So now it's time to take this same DIY crown concept, and add some pretty butterflies!
To bring this idea together I really wanted to create a dreamy Midsummer Nights Dream esque lookbook and photoshoot, so I was so happy to be reunited with one of my favourite teams ever for this project: beautiful Stephanie Linda, one of my first Beauxoxo models, Thomas Cole Simmonds, one of the original and favourite Beauxoxo photographers, and the lovely Aurelia Nomalie to a video lookbook.
"Without change there would be no butterflies"
To match to the enchanted aesthetic of this new project, I picked Holland Park as the magical location, as it contains an extensive area of woodland for central London, that supports a surprising range of mammals, birds and insects, including peacocks as well as an abundance of beautiful florals. And just how beautiful is it captured with Tom's photography?
I honestly couldn't be more in love with this lookbook and it certainly could be my favourite to date. I'm also so in love with this new release, and in particular, to see what designs you will make! This simple DIY butterfly crown is a twist on the ever-popular floral crowns and the little floating wired butterflies and paper flowers you get in this kit make this handcraft a fun, whimsical project that is sure to enchant everyone. A huge thank you to this trio of beauties who have made this whole thing come together more magically than I could have hoped for:
