Paris City Weekend Bag Ideas

Dreaming of a weekend in Paris? Who doesn't? Paris is truly one of my favourite places in the whole entire world and one of the biggest sources of my inspiration for Beauxoxo. My whole Beret Collection is so deeply inspired my Parisian culture past and present and so I thought I'd share with you all my favourite things to pack when I visit for a weekend away.

Paris Weekend Bag

I normally take my trusty Ted Baker suitcase on my travels for a city break, and then a smaller handbag as I so often fly with Flybe and always travel with hand luggage only. So although the bag we used in this stop-motion is so adorable, it's more to give you an idea as to the quintessential accessories one might like to take to the city of fashion and love!

The first thing I pack is a beret, oh mais oui! My beret collection was inspired by countless visits to Paris and I was fortunate enough to also shoot the lookbook in Paris so it's a city that truly does fuel my creativity and vision. Plus, there's something about wearing a beret in Paris itself that makes the accessory feel even more special! Here we used the Paris Navy Beret, modelled by the beautiful Louise Ebel (and captured by Camille Richez) because with landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, to Notre Dame and then Parisian staples like ballet shoes and fresh baguettes, it's a must-have accessory for a girl that dreams about every aspect of Paris!

Alongside this Paris beret design, I love some retro heart sunglasses such as this design from Rosegal and of course a classic red lip stain such as this one from Jouer Cosmetics. Finish the look off with a hint of colour on the cheeks from Laduree Cosmetics, and a finally a Parisian scarf like this design from Not On The Highstreet (the one actually featured in the video is a vintage design from Air France!)

As for your other accessories, don't forget your passport and a little French phrasebook if you truly want to win the hearts of the local Parisians! And if you're serious about wanting to speak the beautiful French language, I couldn't recommend the Michel Thomas method more. And of course, don't forget to snap lots of photos to remember your trip! The Olympus Pen E-PL8 is my favourite!

Et voila- my favourite accessories to take for a weekend to Paris! What about you, what's on your essential city break packing list? Are you dreaming of a trip to Paris?
